It's always tough to come up with a name for a new product. What are the features that characterize it? What makes it unique and what names captures those qualities? In a burst of anti-establishment madness, I threw to the wind all conventions of naming software and simply decided to call the new applet "dinkMap," after Dick Oostenink, the Instructional Computing Services Coordinator at Calvin College. Dick, who we nicknamed "Dink," is a friend and all-around good guy.
